Unless you’re a duck, no one likes wet weather, especially if you need to go outdoors in it.
It’s not just the fact that you could get wet, but the fact that to stay dry you need to usually lug around wet weather protection that is either awkward to carry or looks very unfashionable
And if you’re planning on going to an event such as an outdoor concert, or just to get to an important client meeting, you don’t want to dampen the moment by getting drenched in the process.
While rain coats are good and serve a purpose, the problem is that if say you are going to a meeting, where would you store it when you arrive? Handing over your bright yellow raincoat to the secretary is not something that will make you too popular!
Rain coats are bulky, and can actually be expensive, plus they are usually quite uncomfortable, requiring a few layers underneath to make you feel half comfortable wearing it, but then you wickin feel hot and clammy due to the thick material is is made from.
The rain poncho on the other hand fixes many of these issues, as it is not only practical in the sense it keeps you dry, but say you have that same busy meeting, you can simply toss it in the bin. Rain Ponchos are usually a fraction of the cost of a raincoat or umbrella, and are also mostly designed form biodegradable material, not to mention very easy to carry in an easy to store pouch. So you can easily carry a couple on you for when you need them, and then just dispose of them when they are no longer required.
So while you might still not really enjoy the wet weather, you don’t need to let it dampen your meeting or event. Grab a rain poncho, available in many different popular colours, and be prepared.
